Tokyo Olympics were fun, Pandemic aside

The pandemic did cast it’s shadow over everything, but it does sort of serve as a historical marker of how unique these Olympics truly were. I think the community element that this World competition creates is something very similar in nature to what con-goers seek from anime and gaming conventions. It’s like, ‘We’re all here for the same thing! Let’s love one another, encourage each other, and have as much fun as possible!”

Well, at least that’s one of the ideal scenarios con owners and attendees a like, believe in.

One thing I’ve noticed, is the sheer amount of Women and girls who broke records, barriers, and droughts for their countries in terms of winning medals.
